Children are using AI. Schools are uncertain what to do about it. Parents are caught in the middle. This workshop is for educators, parents, and community leaders who want to think clearly about AI in learning — not panic, not pretend it is not happening.

Who This Is For

Teachers in Jewish day schools and beyond. Parents who want to understand what their children are encountering. Women who teach in any context — formal classrooms, community programs, or at home.

What You Will Learn

Session 1: What AI Means for Learning The honest picture. What AI can do for learners. What it threatens. Why “ban it” is not a strategy and “let them use it however they want” is not either. A clear-eyed assessment.

Session 2: AI as a Teaching Tool How to use AI to plan lessons, create materials, differentiate instruction, and give feedback. Practical demonstrations with tools relevant to Jewish education.

Session 3: Teaching Students to Use AI Well If students will use AI — and they will — how do we teach them to use it as a learning tool, not a shortcut? Frameworks for AI literacy that work in classroom and home settings.

Session 4: The Conversation With Parents and Community How to talk about AI with stakeholders who may be skeptical or afraid. Building shared understanding. Developing policies that reflect community values while preparing students for the world they will enter.

A Note on Context

This workshop is designed with the Orthodox Jewish educational context in mind. We discuss AI through the lens of Torah values, the rhythms of the Jewish calendar, and the specific concerns of frum educators and parents. The tools are universal. The framing is ours.
